How to Get Access to a Client's X (Twitter) Account
The fast way: one ClientInvite link
Delegate is buried four menus deep. Your link takes your client straight there, shows them your handle, and presets the role.
Generate Your Access Link
In your ClientInvite dashboard, select 'X Profile' and generate your secure request link.
- Add the X handle your client should invite
- Request every other platform in the same link
- Copy the X request link

Send the Link to Your Client
Share the secure link with your client via email, Slack, or anywhere else.
- No sign-in needed for this step
- No client passwords shared or stored, ever
- The client can remove access at any time
Client Sends the Invite
Your link shows your client your X handle, opens the right X settings page, and tells them to invite you as Admin.
- Three short steps with a visual guide
- The role is preset to Admin, so nobody guesses
- Accept it in X under Settings, Delegate
- 1Copy the agency's X handle@youragencyCopy
- 2Open the people settings in XOpen X Delegate
- 3Invite it with the Admin roleInvite sent to @youragency
How to delegate access to an X account manually
If your client prefers to do it without a link, send them these steps. They need to be the account owner or an admin.
- 01
Open Delegate in X settings
On x.com, click More, then Settings and privacy, Security and account access, and Delegate. Only the account owner or an admin can invite.
- 02
Choose Members you've delegated to
Click Members you've delegated to, then Invite a member.
- 03
Enter the handle and choose a role
Enter the agency's X handle, choose the account, pick a role (Admin or Contributor), and click Send invite.
- 04
The agency accepts the invite
The agency accepts it in X under Settings, Delegate, Accounts delegated to you, then switches to your account from its own login.
Why agencies automate this instead
Most clients have never opened Delegate and some still share passwords instead. One ClientInvite link gives them the path and your handle, and collects X Ads, Meta and LinkedIn in the same visit. See ClientInvite pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Admin suits most agencies: it can post, see analytics and manage delegates. Contributor can post but cannot see analytics. ClientInvite asks for Admin.
X's Delegate feature is only available in the X app and website, not to other apps, so ClientInvite guides your client through it. Your link shows them your X handle to copy, opens Delegate, and tells them which role to pick.
X invites delegates by handle, so you add your agency’s X handle when you create the link. Your client sees it with a copy button.
