How to Get Access to a Client's TikTok Account
The fast way: one ClientInvite link
The invite lives four menus deep in the TikTok app. Your link spells out the path, presets the role, and sits alongside the rest of your client's access.
Generate Your Access Link
In your ClientInvite dashboard, select 'TikTok Account' and generate your secure request link.
- The invite goes to your login email, or any address you set on the link
- Request every other platform in the same link
- Copy the TikTok request link

Send the Link to Your Client
Share the secure link with your client via email, Slack, or anywhere else.
- No sign-in needed for this step
- No client passwords shared or stored, ever
- The client can remove access at any time
Client Sends the Invite
Your link shows your client your email address, spells out the menu path in the TikTok app, links TikTok's own guide, and tells them to invite you as Operator.
- Three short steps with a visual guide
- The role is preset to Operator, so nobody guesses
- Accept from the notification in your TikTok app

How to give someone access to a TikTok account manually
If your client prefers to do it without a link, send them these steps. They need to be the Admin of a TikTok Organization Account, and you need a TikTok account that uses the email they invite.
- 01
Open Permissions in the TikTok app
In the TikTok app, go to your Profile, tap the menu in the top right, then Settings and privacy, Account, and Permissions. You need to be the Admin of an Organization Account.
- 02
Tap Invite, then Use email address
On the Permissions screen, tap Invite and choose to invite by email address.
- 03
Enter the email and choose a role
Enter the email address of the agency's TikTok account, choose a role (Operator suits most agencies), and tap Invite.
- 04
The agency accepts in the TikTok app
TikTok sends a notification to the TikTok account that uses that email. Once the agency accepts it, they can work on the account from their own login.
Why agencies automate this instead
Clients rarely know where TikTok keeps member invites, and a password is the shortcut that gets accounts locked. One ClientInvite link gives them the exact path and collects Meta, YouTube and Pinterest too. See ClientInvite pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Operator suits most agencies: it can manage content, comments, messages and connections. Admin can also change settings and member roles, so keep that for people inside the business. ClientInvite asks for Operator.
TikTok sends member invites from inside its own app, so no tool can add you automatically. ClientInvite guides your client instead: your link shows them your email to copy, links TikTok's own guide, and tells them the exact menu path and role.
Member invites only appear on TikTok Organization Accounts, and only the account Admin can send them. If your client doesn’t see Permissions, the account isn’t set up as an Organization Account yet; TikTok’s guide linked from your ClientInvite link explains the setup.
No. This shares the organic TikTok account. TikTok ad accounts are shared separately through TikTok Business Center.
No. Logging in with a client’s password triggers TikTok security checks and puts the account at risk. An invite gives you access from your own login, and your client can remove you at any time.
