How to Get Access to a Client's Klaviyo Account
The fast way: one ClientInvite link
Stop writing the same “go to Settings, then Users” email to every new client. Your link walks them through it, presets the role, and sits alongside their Shopify and Meta access.
Generate Your Access Link
In your ClientInvite dashboard, select 'Klaviyo Account' and generate your secure request link.
- The invite goes to your login email, or any address you set on the link
- Request every other platform in the same link
- Copy the Klaviyo request link

Send the Link to Your Client
Share the secure link with your client via email, Slack, or anywhere else.
- No sign-in needed for this step
- No client passwords shared or stored, ever
- The client can remove access at any time
Client Sends the Invite
Your link shows your client your email address, opens the right Klaviyo settings page, and tells them to invite you as Manager.
- Three short steps with a visual guide
- The role is preset to Manager, so nobody guesses
- Klaviyo emails you the invite; accept it within 24 hours

How to add a user to Klaviyo manually
If your client prefers to do it without a link, send them these steps. They need to be the account Owner or an Admin, and you need to accept the invite within 24 hours.
- 01
Sign in as an Owner or Admin
Only the account Owner or an Admin can add users in Klaviyo, so sign in with one of those logins.
- 02
Open Users in your settings
Click your account name in the bottom left, then Settings, then Users.
- 03
Click Add new user
On the Users page, click Add new user.
- 04
Enter the email and choose a role
Enter the agency's email address, choose a role (Manager suits most agencies), and click Add User.
- 05
The agency accepts within 24 hours
Klaviyo emails the invite to that address. It expires after 24 hours, so the agency should accept it the same day or the client has to resend it.
Why agencies automate this instead
Clients pick the wrong role, invite the wrong address, or miss the 24-hour window. One ClientInvite link presets the email and the role and collects Shopify, Meta and Google in the same visit. See ClientInvite pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Manager suits most agencies: it can build and send campaigns and flows and manage lists, but cannot manage users or billing. Admin adds user management. Analyst is read-only reporting. Newer accounts also offer Campaign Coordinator, Content Creator and Support roles. ClientInvite asks for Manager.
Klaviyo's API can't add users to an account, so ClientInvite guides your client through it. Your link shows them your email to copy, opens Klaviyo's Users settings, and tells them to invite you as Manager. Klaviyo then emails you the invite to accept.
Klaviyo invitation links expire after 24 hours. If it lapses, the client can resend it from Settings, Users. Accepting the same day avoids the round trip.
No. Your client invites your own email address, so you sign in with your own login. Every change is then tied to the right person, and nobody has to share a password.
Yes. The Owner or an Admin can remove you at any time from Settings, Users in Klaviyo.
Most email and SMS agencies also need Shopify, Meta, Google Analytics and often Omnisend or Pinterest. Add them all to the same ClientInvite link.
