The fast way: every Meta asset with one ClientInvite link
The manual partner flow means exchanging Business IDs and walking your client through six steps — per asset type. ClientInvite bundles your whole request into one branded link your client approves in a couple of clicks.
Generate Your Access Link
In your ClientInvite dashboard, select the Meta assets you need — Ad Account, Page, Pixel, Instagram, Catalog — and generate one secure request link.
Send the Link to Your Client
Share the secure access link with your client via email, Slack, or anywhere else.
Client Authorizes Access
Your client logs into Facebook and approves the request. Every asset lands in your Business Manager automatically.
How to add a partner to Meta Business Manager manually
These are the steps your client follows to share Business Manager assets with your agency the manual way. They'll need admin access to their business portfolio, and your Business ID before they start.
- 1
Get the agency's Business Portfolio ID
Ask your agency for their Meta Business Portfolio ID (also called a Business Manager ID). They can find it at business.facebook.com under Business settings, then Business info. It's a 15-17 digit number.
- 2
Open Business settings
Go to business.facebook.com/settings and log in. You need to be an admin of your business portfolio to add partners.
- 3
Add a partner
In the left menu, click Users, then Partners. Click Add, then choose "Give a partner access to your assets".
- 4
Enter the partner's Business ID
Paste the agency's Business Portfolio ID from step 1 and click Next.
- 5
Assign assets and permission levels
Work through each asset type — ad accounts, Pages, Pixels, Instagram accounts, catalogs — toggling on the assets you want to share and choosing a permission level for each. Click Save.
- 6
The agency assigns its own team
Your assets now appear in the agency's Business Manager, where they can assign their own team members without needing anything else from you.
Sharing a single asset instead?
If you only need one ad account rather than the whole portfolio, follow the dedicated guide: how to give access to a Facebook Ad Account.
Why agencies automate this instead
Multiply the six steps above by every asset type you need, add the back-and-forth of finding Business IDs, and Business Manager onboarding easily eats 30 minutes per client. ClientInvite compresses it to one link. See ClientInvite pricing or how it compares to Leadsie.

Adding a partner shares assets with another business portfolio (your agency's Business Manager), and the agency manages its own staff access. Adding a person invites an individual email address and ties access to that personal profile. Agencies should almost always be added as partners.
You can share ad accounts, Facebook Pages, Meta Pixels (datasets), Instagram accounts, catalogs, apps, and custom conversions. Each asset gets its own permission level, from view-only up to full control.
You create one link that bundles every Meta asset you need. Your client clicks it, logs into Facebook, and approves the request via Meta's secure Graph API. All approved assets are granted to your Business Manager in seconds — no Business IDs, no partner invitations, no screen-shares.
No. Neither the manual partner method nor ClientInvite ever requires a password. Your client logs into their own Facebook account and approves the access themselves — ClientInvite never sees or stores client passwords.
Yes. The client stays in full control and can remove a partner or revoke ClientInvite-granted access at any time from their Business Manager settings.
Beyond Meta Business Manager assets, ClientInvite can request access to Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, Merchant Center, Shopify, and LinkedIn — all in the same link.
